About me

As a graduate of one of the best Media colleges in Europe, having attained a

good degree and a great deal of experience, I feel that I would be of great

value to a company that is looking for an intelligent, hard working and

interesting young man. I believe that a good work ethic and determination to

succeed in the industry is what will ensure that I bring something special to my

future employee. I have an excellent grasp on current affairs, politics and the

media industry in general, as well as an in-depth knowledge of the Asian film

industry, musical recording and artistry from Pre-War up to present day, and am

well read in everything from Shakespeare and Elliot to Pratchett and Rankin.

I have received great compliments and advice from my tutors at Ravensbourne

College, and throughout my academic years, on my ability to think on my feet,

and to get the best from my co-workers. I think I am an excellent delegate,

having worked on small budget films for a couple of years now, as well as taking on smaller roles in Prop management and general set maintenance. This love of delegating does not mean I am not prepared to pull my weight however!

Having grown up in the countryside, I am used to a great deal of manual labour, and while I profess to thinking of myself as more intellectual than physical, I have always strived for a balance of the two. As well as bringing a great deal of

bright ideas and forward thinking to my employee, I like to think I am an

interesting, likeable character. I enjoy socialising with all types of people; I

am equally at home at a football match or in a theatre, and have a wide range of

friends, whom I feel I can discuss anything with, from motor racing (another of

my passions) through to poetry, jazz and modern art. I am a good

conversationalist, and have been known to voice my opinion on almost anything.

I have some strong, healthy political views, as well as a great knowledge of

current affairs in general. I take a great interest in the world in which we

live, and I believe this to be essential to any person seeking employment in the

media industry today. I have a great number of hobbies, but my main passions are cinema and music. I enjoy listening to and writing music, and am fairly adequate at the acoustic guitar! My musical taste is far to vast to mention here, but I would be more than happy to discuss it at a later date, as I feel I have a

wonderfully eclectic collection at my disposal, and enjoy nothing more than

introducing people to the wonders of world music. As for cinema, again I have a

very eclectic taste, ranging from early surrealist works such as Un Chien

Andalou, Salvador Dali's film, through to works from some of my favourite

directors, such as Stanley Kubrick, Takashi Miike and Tim Burton. I have a

passion for sports also, with my beloved Arsenal never being far from my mind. I

enjoy watching and playing cricket, tennis and badminton, and one of my claims

to fame is that I once defeated the Yorkshire Under-14 squash champion.

I believe that I would be a serious asset to any company, whether media orientated or not, as I am a highly personable and outgoing character who enjoys a challenge and who is not afraid of responsibilities and hard work.
