About me
Dear sir/madam,
I would like to be considered for the position of Motion Graphic Designer as advertised on indeed.
I am a passionate and enthusiastic Motion Graphic Designer and BA Animation graduate with brilliant After Effects and Photoshop skills.
I am currently working for an advertising company, designing short adverts for various businesses that are displayed on screens in public areas such as shopping centres and cinemas. I am responsible for producing high quality designs to meet tight weekly deadlines whilst liaising with customers on the phone and by email to meet their requirements and expectations. I would also occasionally be called upon to re-design a company's logo and brand.
I am fluent in the use of Illustrator, Premiere Pro and InDesign and have a good knowledge of 3D packages such as Cinema 4D and Maya. In addition I have a great knowledge of compressing and encoding video formats for various outputs.
During my time at university I have gained strong animation skills with the ability to storyboard and develop concepts effectively. My degree also taught me how to balance multiple projects to meet strict deadlines and I also gained strong editing and post-production skills.
I have freelance experience in a range of disciplines that has taught me to manage my workload and liaise with clients to meet their expectations.
I have also worked as an intern for Sherbet studios in London for a 3-month period, working on a short film about Guantanamo Bay for The Observer. This gave me a taste of being an animator in a fast paced studio environment and the level of animation and deadline driven work that comes with it.
In my personal life I am a very tidy, organised individual and as such I bring a high level of attention to detail to my work. I have a sociable, friendly manner and I am hard working and follow instructions to the best of my ability. As well as motion graphic design my other big passion is football of which i have a fanatical interest in. I have an expansive knowledge and understanding of the sport from the premier league and lower leagues to international football. It would be a dream of mine to combine these two passions and if given the opportunity I would bring a lot of dedication and enthusiasm to this role.
