Experience

Nov 04 - July 07, Interior Designer, Fraser Eagle Contracts (F.E.C)

After being headhunted for this position I initially was appointed the role of Jnr Designer. The role consisted of aiding the senior designers with presentation and drawing packages along with updating the library and liaising with new suppliers. During my time at F.E.C I was promoted to an Interior designer level were I took on a lot more responsibilities from initial design briefs to completion of the projects. Working for F.E.C gave me a lot more confidence in my ability to space plan, colour scheme and administrative issues.

July 01 - Nov 04, Jnr interior Designer, TFL International Ltd

Starting at TFL straight from school was a big step in the right direction for me. I started on the pretence of an apprentice were I quickly found out that there was no such thing in interior design, so with the help on TFL we found a national diploma course in Interior Design were I would attend whilst at TFL. Tasks I given to me, were to make sure the extensive library was always up to date and in order along with materials and finishes. Along with this product training I managed to learn the basic drawing skills both on paper and in AutoCAD. I feel my confidence was given a great boost after just 1 year of working with a creative design team. After my two years at college were completed TFL international offered me a permanent contract as Interior design assistant. In which I was given basic drawing packages and colour schemes to produce.
