About me

My background spans across broadcast, tv commercials, film, games, print, corporate, music video creating title sequences, long form content, vfx, 3d animation, motion graphics and digital removal and replacement for commercials but not limited to tv output.
I have created architectural fly through animations, promo's, social media animated clips, 3d animations for corporate services and profiles, eye catching marketing and advertising content, B2B white label 3d models and effects to name just some of the large area of the industry that I cover.
Previously at BBC tvc for a few years, initially as a contractor and then on to full time staff. I helped create many title sequences and channel re-brands along the way, whilst being part of BAFTA and BDA award winning teams before moving on to freelance as a 3d and vfx artist.
Fundamentally I am a freelance 3d and vfx artist working remotely from my studio under the company name Strangebox LTD .

I am a hard working highly motivated artist with the ability to turn projects around quickly with little fuss and with a high standard of quality, an eye for detail, composition, scale, timing, lighting, rendering and post production.
Highly skilled in Autodesk Maya as a generalist and fx artist using Bifrost graph visual programming editor to create detailed and dynamic simulations and procedural fx such as particle systems, explosions, fire, smoke, dust, growth, liquid, snow and other experimental vfx. I also have the ability to create fx tools within Bifrost - for Maya artists to use on a procedural basis.
I am sponsored by Autodesk to create educational content mostly focused on Bifrost and fx as part of Autodesks influencer program. I have given talks and broadcast sessions at FMX and Autodesk University.

If you have worked with me you will find I am a down to earth artist that just wants to create great content and hopefully (if appropriate) pass on some ideas I might have in the process of a project to better the end result.
I work remotely but would consider a full time position or lengthy contract in something more senior yet creative with a good remuneration package.
