About me

I am a vivacious and friendly character, with the ability to bring a unique combination of determination and creativity to all projects. I am comfortable in taking the initiative to work independently as well as thrive in my ability to motivate team assignments. I take pride in everything that I do to ensure that I am fully prepared and remain passionate about the task at hand. I am hoping that you will consider me for a position as I believe that I have the capability to truly excel within your company, as well as take this great opportunity to develop my skills further. My drive for success and learning is a very apparent one and in the event of me being hired I will work hard and continue to be an asset to the team.

My struggle to further my education has been a long journey and I have fought my way to where I am today. Although having lived in the UK since I was 15 years old, I was unable to go to University when I was eighteen as a result of visa and financial issues. After six years of working in retail I decided that I would not simply accept my life as it was; through determination and perseverance I upgraded my visa and was accepted to study Media Communications at Bath Spa University. I graduated in July 2016 with a BA Honor's in Media Communications. I spent a few months working in an events management program with a company in America, Exclusif Entertainment. This is a productions and promotions company, where I worked closely with the CEO, Denise Joyner, in learning about entrepreneurship, advertising and event management. I recently completed a 3 month internship, part-time, with a company in Essex, Advocate Agency. They offered me a permanent position, however a combination of a lengthy and costly commute as well my eagerness to move in to a more creative profession lead to my decline.

I previously maintained an online magazine called Doxy before my current internship which started as a university project and was graded a 1st. I kept the magazine going as a means of constant learning and developing of my design skills. My focus in university was the academic side of media, although I would like the opportunity to further my design abilities. I have a comfortable knowledge of Photoshop. My focus began with creating 3D animal rights posters in my 2nd year to the development of Doxy Magazine. A sense of my character, passion, and interests are clear in my magazine, please find the link to my online magazine on my CV.
