About me

Since leaving university in 2005 with a 2:1 classification in Creative Imaging Advertising from Huddersfield University, I have been in full time employment at Mitre Sports International where I have progressed to Senior Designer.Whilst I feel this has been a hugely successful start to my career in the industry, and I have shown that I can develop well within a design role, I believe the time has now come to break my comfort zone and set myself more challenging goals within my career path.My current feeling is that in order to do this in the best possible way, I must move into a role which provides me with a varying portfolio of clients, brands and media.

I am fluent in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and hold a knowledge of Quark and Rhino 3D Imaging, on both PC and Mac.I have the ability to use resource materials provided to me to carry out highly effective research, including the internet and design publications, and also utilise more unusual sources of inspiration e.g. packaging, environmental elements and everyday materials.I can complete a brief from conception to final client sign off, by working within a team or independently. By developing initial ideas born of thorough research, taking these through several strands of concept development and leading them to result in sophisticated final pieces of artwork, I can produce work that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
