As you will see from my attached CV, I have a First Class English Literature degree and a successful sales background.
I am a highly ambitious aspiring copywriter, with experience in writing website copy, website content, and marketing emails, during my last role at a fashion ecommerce marketing agency. I genuinely feel that a background in sales, especially telesales, has helped prepare me for this new career path. On the phone you have 10 seconds to capture attention, much like a tagline. Then you have another minute to interest people enough to want to hear more, similar to the first paragraph of text. And then if you've done enough to pique their interest, you have the time to give them all the relevant information and keep them excited.
At my previous role I wrote corporate copy for sales brochures and flyers. As well as website content for information pages. It was also my role as account manager to guide clients on social media best practice, and ensuring they were getting the most out of their campaigns.
