About me
I was a Graphic Designer/DTP/Senior Mac Operator/Artworker for many years (14 years to be exact) then the whole department was made redundant back in October 2008, since then I've have been going out of my mind trying to get employers to give me a shot.Last year I was made redundant from a job where I spent 16 years working in a busy pre-press production environment. In this time I developed my skills as a Graphic Designer/DTP/Senior Mac Operator/Artworker. My experience comes from a fast paced design and advertising background which required me to lead a small team of typesetters and maintain professional standards.I have seen and adapted to the rapid changes within the industry and am keen to be part of its progressive future. I believe I have the skills that you require and am ready to adapt and learn new skills. For the past year I have been forced to take and enjoy the opportunity to stay at home and look after my two small children, which in turn has taught me new skills and a willingness to have a go. I am keen to reassert my skills within the industry.I have attached my CV and a reference from my previous employer. Due to the whole department being made redundant I've not been able to get to my work to make a portfolio, all I have got is some scanned artwork (attached).I really do think I can be an asset to any employer and would really like the opportunity to prove it.Yours Sincerely
Steven Lane
