Steven is based in Shanghai as Head of Technology at AKQA, a design agency that brings to life experiences in digital, physical and spatial landscapes in collaboration with leading global brands.
Prior to joining AKQA, Steven was Co-Founder and President of Lucis Technologies and it's consumer facing brand - NuBryte, managing multi-disciplined teams across both companies. The business was developed across USA, Central and Latin America and China.
Strengths include: Digital innovation, technology leadership, social platform development, Wechat CRM, product management, product lifecycle direction, cross-functional team management, user-centric design thinking, smart energy and IoT architecture development, product strategy innovation and transformation, scaling multi-disciplinary teams, business development and startup management.
Steven has contributed to over 60 patents filed globally, with prior hands-on engineering experience enabling efficient communication in multi-disciplined teams. He has forged startup-level effectiveness and harnessed an entrepreneurial mindset through ten years working in business in China and the US.
Steven has also featured as an IoT thought leader during speaking engagements at global technology conferences in Silicon Valley and China in his role as President of Lucis | NuBryte.
Before co-founding Lucis, Steven built products across a wide variety of industries including; IoT, consumer electronics, energy management, mobile applications, LED lighting, medical devices, brand strategy, education services and social innovation initiatives.
