About me
Dear Sir /Madam Wednesday 7th March 2012
Please find enclosed my C.V. in response to your vacancy for graphic designer. I would like to draw your attention to my experience in this area. I have a degree in Industrial Design from Loughborough University where I developed my presentation skills in product design. Much of the degree was in designing presentation displays using various graphical packages including Adobe Photoshop.
I have twelve years experience of teaching graphics in secondary schools and have completed many projects with pupils in designing logos, posters, leaflets, point of sale promotions and packaging to name a few. I have extensive experience using Photoshop, Picture Publisher, Autocad,
2 - D Designer and 3-D Studio. I have included some examples of my recent work using photoshop and other artwork.
I have decided to move away from teaching and use my talents in other areas. Graphic Design is an area which I would love the opportunity to work in. I have always had a great interest in Graphic Design and this combines my love of computers, photography and art. In the past I have completed graphic design logo's and artwork for rainbow computers. I consider myself to be a very creative person and being a keen artist I regularly complete commissions for people.
One thing I will bring is a commitment to hard work. I am always reliable, willing to learn and have a drive to be successful.
I would like to be considered for the role as I feel I have the neccesary skills and experience to be successful in this job. I will be very committed to the job and would very much appreciate the chance to gain some experience in working in graphic design, which would be of greater benefit to me than the financial gain. I am also available for immediate start and would be willing to offer my services unpaid, till the official start date.
Yours sincerely
Steven Averill
