About me
My name is Steve Bridger and I am a freelance graphic designer, artist and illustrator living and working in Writtle, a small village situated in Essex in the UK.
I have my own studio set up of course, using an iMac, extra monitor and Wacom tablet as well as a large drawing board for the traditional stuff.
On the graphic design side I am proficient in the usual Adobe software, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and Microsoft Software - Word, Excel and Powerpoint and also happy using traditional methods (such as pencils and paints) for creating artwork. I also use Adobe After Effects for 2D animation and video work and have an understanding of 3D modelling and animation with Cinema 4D. I use Autocad for more precise work such as engineering and construction drawings. I have also created several websites with Wordpress, incorporating custom CSS and HTML to create more bespoke sites and utilising Figma in the UI design process for more complicated designs.
I can also use Word, Excel and Powerpoint and enjoy learning new software and continuing to develop my skills.
On the art side I paint many subjects in various styles, from abstract to fantasy to traditional landscapes. I mainly paint in oils but also use acrylic, watercolour and digital techniques. I don't specialise in any one subject as I can find inspiration and interest in so many and love to try to explore different aspects of beauty, be it in the light, the detail or the mood.
