About me

A hardworking, genuine and confident individual, with an excellent command of the English language and several years' experience in graphic design and marketing. I am organised, reliable, with a good sense of humour, and am keen to develop myself in a challenging yet rewarding career.I've spent the majority of 2009 heading up a Marketing department for a Systems Integrator in the Energy and Utilities markets, where I'm responsible for all marketing output, be it corporate stationery, annual reports, promotional literature or website updates and press releases.The 12 months prior to that were spent working for a reputable printing company with a national reputation, where I've undertaken a variety of work for a range of clients from large local health authorities and Premier League football clubs through to smaller start-up businesses.Prior to this, I spent a couple of years working in the busy Artists department of Shropshire Newspapers Ltd, designing editorial and advertising for any of the Group's numerous titles.I've always welcomed freelance commissions, and when I've not been designing, I've spent most of my spare time over the past seven years fronting (and managing) a signed rock band. As such, I've acquired strong skills in sales, co-ordinating the schedule of five band members, tour-booking, PR, record label negotiation and of course, handling the band's promotional output both on and offline.I have a degree in journalism, and am a former freelance writer for a number of respected national music publications including New Musical Express and Big Cheese
