About me

I have been working in the digital media industry for just over ten years now specialising in the development and delivery of web based projects ranging from small Web related systems to large scale complex Web Content Management Systems , Portals, E-commerce systems and Animated Interactive applications for various companies throughout my career. My main focus has been Front end design and development but I am happy to work on the development side if needed.

I have been coding XHTML and CSS since beginning of my career in 2000 starting with dreaded table layouts. DOM scripting comes hand in hand with XHTML and throughout my career I have ensured all my code is always up to current standards as set by W3C. I am moving towards HTML5 with my latests projects.

At present I am coding all my current projects to CSS level 2.1 up to 3.0 as set by W3C as this best deals with the current browser compatibility issues while still maintaining full application functionality and Accessibility. I use XML mainly to reference media assets and media meta information for application use such as flash based galleries or presenting simple data in a globally compatible format.

JavaScript is one of the first programming languages I learned in the beginning of my career. With the powerful libraries now available like JQuery, Prototype and Mootools I implement web 2.0 features into all my projects mainly to give the user a more fluid and engaging experience.

I have always worked in LAMP environments. My experience with .net is not vast but I have worked in this environment before on smaller projects. I have good knowledge of Object Orientated design and development which allows me to turn my hand to any development environment.

I am based in east London so a commute to central London will not be a problem.
