About me

A Massachusetts resident with varied professional pursuits, Stephen Scarff serves as a chaplain at Compassus Hospice Care. There he provides pastoral care as well as clinical grief and loss services to individuals and groups in underserved communities of Chelsea, Lynn, Danvers, and Lawrence, among others. Stephen Scarff also volunteers his chaplaincy services to residents at local area hospices through VNA Hospice Services and has previous pastoral care experience with St. John's Episcopal Church and St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. In addition to his chaplaincy work, he has contributed to community clean-ups following Hurricane Katrina through Habitat for Humanity.

Previously, Stephen Scarff worked as vice president of the start-up film production company CBM, where he was responsible for marketing and branding functions as well as maintaining investor relations. He also worked for five years as a Morgan Stanley wealth manager in Santa Monica, California, and for one year as an associate admissions director at South Kent School in Connecticut.

Mr. Scarff holds a master of divinity degree from Yale Divinity School as well as a master of arts in administration and policy studies in education from McGill University.
