About me

My name is Stephen McDavid, I am a designer and filmmaker with three years industry experience. For the past eighteen months I have been working for top London based packaging design agency 'Pearlfisher'. I joined at an exciting time as they were looking to expand into new areas allowing me to further my experience in both film and design. During my time at Pearlfisher I have worked on various brand identities and packaging projects for clients such as Green & Blacks, Absolute Vodka, Taut, Liberty, Waitrose and Coca Cola. The project I am proudest of is the sports drink 'Taut' for which I was solely responsible for redesigning the packaging and identity. My time at Pearlfisher has allowed me to gain experience in all aspects of the design process including working in a team, client presentations, developing designs from concept to production and overseeing artwork.

I moved to Pearlfisher from ASD Lionheart, a film and advertising production company founded by former Saatchi and Saatchi creative director Paul Arden. In the twelve months I spent working as an in-house designer at ASD my role was varied including art direction, research, working on brand identities and assisting directors on shoots for clients such as Nike, Egg, Lynx and Burger King.

Another passion of mine is music production. I am currently working on my debut E.P and have released three tracks to date. Other notable achievements include having one of my films screened at the ICA.
