Stephanie's work
About Stephanie
I am applying for the production assistant with thestorytelerstudios. I graduated from SUNY Purchase with a BA in screenwriting and playwriting. I am very interested in the film industry and looking to pursue a writing and producing career within the industry.
While taking classes in screenwriting, playwriting, film and theatre both at SUNY Purchase and Westchester Community College, I have expanded my writing skills. One of the most hands-on courses I took at SUNY Purchase was my Writer's Scene Workshop class. Here I wrote, directed and produced my own short film. I also held various positions on other student films in the class including script supervisor, script coordinator, light gaffer and mic operator. I have written, produced and directed both film and theatre production while at SUNY Purchase. I directed and dramaturged a senior solo-performance called Un-Sealed. I Directed, edited the script, researched material for script, created lobby display, selected props, selected the lighting, created the program and managed social media pages for this show. I also held various positions in other student films at SUNY Purchase including script supervisor, script coordinator, light gaffer and mic operator. I have written, produced and directed both film and theatre production while at SUNY Purchase. I was a production assistant on a Ned Rifle film while at Purchase. Some of my responsibilities included: loading/unloading equipment, securing the perimeter when filming, running coffee/food to DP's and other members of the crew. I have also gained additional professional experience while working at Yorkville Sports Association, an adult sports league based in NYC. Currently at Yorkville Sports I manage our Facebook and Instagram pages and post updates on our upcoming events, leagues, tournaments and playoff standings. I also write The Game of the Week articles and post photos and videos from the games, which can be viewed here: . As a League Coordinator I am also responsible for creating and proofreading company promotional material, proofreading distribution material (i.e. postcards, event posts to our website, lawn signs), creating and sending out company newsletters, and help out with league management along with other daily office functions. I also recently finished up an internship reading, reviewing and editing scripts for YouGoFar Productions Ltd.
Writing and producing are my passions. I love writing about television, music, books and film as well as writing my own teleplays, screenplays and plays. I am well-versed in Microsoft suite, detail orientated, can multi-task and have 4½ years of administrative experience. I am a fast and efficient reader. I work well under pressure and stick to deadlines no matter how tight they are. I am hard working, well organized and a team player. I am a fast and efficient reader.
