About me
Whilst attending university I have had the opportunity to complete numerous projects ranging from corporate branding to web development. In doing so I have not only learnt many skills required to progress in the field of graphic design such as effective client liaison and project management but it has also meant I have had to be flexible in order to balance my University course whilst still maintaining a high standard of work and adhering to strict time limits.
Whilst studying a module for my degree I gained a great interest in interaction design and psychology behind Internet behaviour. This sparked additional research outside of University, which has enhanced my communication skills with clients.
I also have a passion for photography and whilst this has been a hobby for many years it has also helped to further my design work. For example whilst working for the Whitby Advertiser I used various local and scenic photographs which were then incorporated into clients adverts, something which was always received with positive feedback from clients.
Macs play a central part in my design process and I have been using them for many years now. I pride myself in keeping informed of recent developments in both software and hardware to ensure that I can run and maintain my own systems.
Travelling is something I have always enjoyed as it has given me the chance to see how other cultures convey ideas through the art of design.
