About me

I became an independent awards and case study consultant in 2009, after 15 years of marketing and business development roles at various agencies (that's important because I still retain that marketing mindset when it comes to your awards/case study needs).
I'm super flexible in how I work to help companies achieve their objectives, and aim to make your life as easy as possible - without blowing the budget.
Sometimes that's about making sure you're focusing on the right awards and case studies (or even no awards at all, if you're not yet ready). Sometimes that's about writing impact-led winning stories that you can use for case studies, awards entries, credentials, social channels etc. Sometimes that's about giving your people the benefit of my expertise with best practice guidance training.
With over 500+ entries under my belt, a 90% shortlist success rate since 2020 (55% of those went on to win), and 6 much-coveted Grand Prix, you're in safe hands with me. And to better understand what goes on behind closed doors (and help you with more winnable entries), I've judged top tier awards like Transform Awards Europe and the International Content Marketing Awards.

I've been guest speaker for a few great podcasts (check out the 'Featured' section of my profile for those), was the effectiveness correspondent for magazine, and was a guest lecturer at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan for 10 years. In 2021, I was honoured with a place on the 40 Over Forty list, representing a hugely talented group of Media, Marketing and Advertising professionals - all in the prime of life!
Before my marketing career, I was a professional dancer, choreographer and lighting designer. Originally from Canada, I've lived in the UK since 1992. Outside of work my passions include dancing Argentine Tango and cultivating exotic orchid genera.
