About me

Dear Recruiting Manager,

As a web editor and copywriter for an in-house marketing team within the education sector, the most important aspects of my job are to produce tightly focused marketing copy, and ensure that the Company's website is fresh, engaging, and effective in reaching its intended audience. I also ensure that our social media channels are utilised to maximum effect, as a highly accesible interaction tool for connecting with our consumers. Part of my role has been to compile a clear set of guidelines and oversee the implementation of these on all channels.

I recently co-led the redesign and build of the Company website, working with an external team of developers to agree a look, feel and structure for the site. The biggest challenge during the project proved to be the final task of populating the site with content to an extremely ambitious deadline; however, the end result was a huge success, and the project completed on time.

Prior to my current employment I wrote marketing and web copy for a music company, in a diverse variety of digital mediums. Here, I built a strong foundation for online writing; connecting with music fans from a range of genres via social media platforms, email marketing campaigns, blogs and websites.

My three years experience writing for digital channels have allowed me to develop solid skills in copywriting, along with thorough knowledge of specific, market-targeted communications. In addition, I have developed an instinctive feel for writing in a range of voices and styles, directly suited to the audience I am trying to reach.

I am very keen to exercise more creativity in my work, and am looking for a new challenge that will enable me to do this. I believe this role would give me the opportunity to combine my creative and technical skills, while at the same allowing me to build and expand my existing talents as a dedicated and enthusiastic member of the Design Studio People team.
