STACEY BEALES COVERING LETTER RE: RETOUCHER ROLE

I have a keen eye for detail, with excellent retouching skills, these include but are not limited to; colour correction, working and understanding colour profiles, using layers and masks, adding and removing content, cleaning skin, adding shadows, using the liquefy tool effectively, file sizing and handling; all to exceptional high standards. I am able to work on both Mac and PC and I have a good working knowledge of Capture One and Indesign.

During my previous role as Studio Manager I trained all new photographers and held lighting and Photoshop workshops for the public. It was my responsibility to push the studio forward, in doing so I created all new promotion material, from design layout, photographic content, to pricing and selecting new products.

I retouched all of the larger products, ensuring they were print ready to exceptionally high standards. It was imperative that the colours were consistent throughout, that the retouching was 100% correct and kept to client briefs, these often included individual artworks and could vary from family portraiture to product shots for local businesses.

In my role prior to Viva La Foto I was the digital artist at Venture Maidstone, here I was solely responsible for all the photographic retouching within the studio and ensuring all products were print ready to very high standards with a fast turn around time. One of my main achievements within this role was having a zero return rate due to retouching errors.

I am a flexible worker and understand the need to sometimes work long and unsociable hours in order to meet the needs of the business. I am fast and consistent in Photoshop and have a can do attitude towards work. I enjoy meeting new people and taking on new challenges.
