About me
Dear Sir or Madam
My name is Sophie Tyler and I am a recent graduate from Northumbria University where I studied Interactive Media Design and received a 1st Class (Ba) with honours.
Through university, I have worked on a variety of projects including an interactive museum experience using video and touch sensors, a group project which involved designing a new innovative app for energy usage, an international project, working with students from Switzerland and Germany, designing interfaces for smart glasses alongside developing websites, apps and interaction products.
Many of my projects are group based and I am confident working with others. Through some of my projects I have also taken the role of team leader and I am adept at time management individually and in management of a group. I am also passionate about design within technology and like to keep up-to-date with the latest designs, techniques and new technology.
The work experience I have had was at the iPole project 2014 with Alstom, Anchor Trust Newcastle Office and Seven Stories Newcastle. The most relevant work experience for me is the project I took part in from September 2014 until January 2015 the outline of the project was the future of user manuals and working alongside Alstom and students from Switzerland and Germany I was in a team where my role was to mainly develop and design the interfaces which would be used on the smart glasses which would show a brand new user manual experience for Alstom's factories. The project as a whole was a fantastic experience for me with working with a variety of people in a team to create a great end concept.
Below I have included a link to my portfolio site where you can see in more detail projects I have been involved in:
