About me

My name is Sophie and I am a graphic artist and designer based in London!

Transforming my ideas and passions into tangible objects fuels my passion for design. Working in a creative environment that values individual differences in the workforce, and makes them feel welcome and accepted allows me to thrive and above all, enables me to push my creative boundaries. I am highly invested in expanding my knowledge and being part of an awesome and accomplished team. I am focused on putting my passions and skills to good use by supporting projects and companies that share the same core values as myself.

I graduated from Heriot-Watt University School of Textiles and Design with an honours degree in Design For Textiles (Art). This course underpinned my creative skills with extensive use of computer aided-design which gave me the chance to develop a highly versatile but focused multidisciplinary skillset. Studying a creative subject like textiles offered an effective balance between theory and practice as well as a wealth of knowledge across several creative disciplines with significant focus on computer aided-design. I have excellent attention to detail and colour and as a result I was shortlisted for the Worshipful Company of Dyers Colour Prize and I was awarded the Bernat Klein Award For Creativity by the Bernat Klein Foundation. Throughout my time at university, I worked as part of a team collaborating on design projects with various companies. This allowed me to gain relevant professional experience and it provided valuable insight into how the design industry works. With nearly five years of graphic design and illustration experience, I am fluent in Adobe Creative suite.

Whilst I believe that every creative has their own individual style and flare, I have the ability to mould my skillset to fit specific briefs. I strive to create an immersive and unique experience for those who view my work and I am confident in my abilities to create innovative and stimulating concepts.

As for an "interesting" (and hopefully memorable) fact about me: Paloma Faith ran me over with her infants buggy in Portobello Market once. Embarrassingly, it's perhaps the most exciting thing to ever happen to me.
