About me
I have recently graduated from Salford University where I studied Visual Arts. This was a three year course during which time my main medium was photography. I have been interested in photography from a young age, during my GCSE and A Level courses I was lucky enough to have open access to a darkroom, where my passion for taking and developing my own work progressed.
As times have moved on I have turned to digital photography and my final degree show piece was a dramatic project on body image. This final piece comprised of four life size nude portraits, whereby I approached each of the individual's insecurities with their bodies. Dealing with a sensitive subject matter meant I had to ensure each individual was as calm and confident as possible in order to obtain the desired photographs. During this project my photography skills further developed and I became far more confident in my ability as a photographer.
Throughout my degree I obtained a range of Photoshop and Illustrator skills and I have also done some studio work. Prior to my degree I did a year at Manchester Metropolitan University studying fashion design where I gained skills in fashion styling, illustrating, and photography. I am capable of adapting to new environments quickly and effectively and I enjoy the challenge of learning new skills.
I am now seeking to find a role which will allow me to gain further practical experience within the photographic industry with an emphasis on fashion. I am creative, enthusiastic and hard working and I am available to start work straight away.
