To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to inquire about the position of Junior Trend Forecasting Assistant. I am extremely passionate about the process of trend research, study and curation.

I am an Associate Sweater Designer at Charter Club for Macy's, where for the past three years I have gained great design experience and a keen understanding of the industry.

I began my career as the Assistant Designer to the VP of Design for Charter

Club, which gave me insight into all aspects of the design process, focusing

primarily on concept design. Here I created extensive trend reports, color, print

and silhouette direction, identifying key direction applied to the brand and

customer.

Currently as a Sweater Designer I am responsible for seasonal design and

development from concept to production. In addition I organize all Trim

research, development and sourcing for our brand. I have had vast experience

with sketching, prints and layouts, as well as collaborating with vendors, production, buying and marketing teams.

I have had a wide variety of experience in various internships, working with

fabric and trim development at Zac Posen, accessories design at Capelli New

York in London, and color design at Eileen Fisher. I bring a great deal of care

and a keen sense of understanding to the creative process. I am extremely

organized, efficient and hard working. I feel that the evolution of my

experiences has given me the skills and creativity that could be a great fit for

your team.
