About me

Soon Lon Fung, or Fung as he's more affectionately known to his friends, graduated from the Centre for Advanced Design (cenfad), a design hub affiliated with Parsons School of Design New York.

His first working experience started at the age of 19 working as a sushi chef trainee for 1 year. After much fun and sweat - and a hard dose of financial reality - he went for a further study and has received his Advanced Diploma in Communication Design.

He started his early career at a small design studio - egghouse graphics before joining William Harald-wong Associates as a Senior Designer. It was there that he honed his skills and knowledge of design. Then he joined Leo Burnett KL as his first stint in advertising world for 6 years. Next he freelance for a year in Ogilvy & Mather Malaysia and BBDO Malaysia before landed in TBWA KL Malaysia. Throughout the years he has worked with brands like Friesland Campina, Petronas, Samsung, Nestle, Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), AIA Malaysia, Anlene Malaysia and U Mobile.

Along the journey, he has gain some metals like Kancil Awards, A+M Marketing Awards, Malaysia Effie Awards, Dragons of Asia. And featured in Campaign Brief Asia Hot List and Campaign Brief Asia The Work.

He also devised, designed and curated the Yasmin at Kong Heng museum with few colleagues and friends. Fung, a dog year born Chinese, also a dog lover. He has 2 poodles - BB and GG. He occasionally does quick sketch of them.
