About me

I am a recent graduate of Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design with a degree in Art and Philosophy.

I've learned a lot here and found myself drawn to screen printing, illustrative drawing, and 3 Dimensional work/ woodwork. I've been interested in making art interactive and engaging, but am keeping an open mind for the future of my artistic endeavours! I enjoy experimentation and did a lot of this whilst taking advantage of the facilities available to me at Uni (eg. laser-cutting, printing techniques and various forms of sculpture). I am excited to further develop the skills I already have and am eager to try new things.

Artistically, I am interested in working with people in one way or another. I feel strongly that opening up to others and allowing them to open up to you in an artistic setting has a world of value and can benefit everybody. I've been concerned with opening up my art practice to every one of all backgrounds and interests through play.

Throughout my uni experience I have been involved in a few group exhibitions and was a member of a Print Studio where I also volunteered helping out with screen print workshops.

I have 5+ years of experience working within the arts in a public setting. This includes assisting with children's art workshops, working in a public gallery, and working at art and design festivals in Dundee and Edinburgh- including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

I've recently developed on from being an art assistant to being a facilitator whereby I create art workshops for children and take them myself. Here I have to cater for the age group of each session and be aware and open to the interests of the children themselves. My work as an art assistant has given me alot of experience delivering workshops to children of all ages, abilities and backgrounds.

I am interested in continuing working with, for and in the community, as well as continuing my illustrative drawing and developing my screenprinting experience and skills. I'd love to begin commission work on both small and larger scale work!
