Dear Sir or Madam,
In response to the advertised position of Junior Digital Designer, I would like to be considered for the role.
I studied Product Design Technology at Northumbria University where I worked closely with Sainsbury's Supermarket and NCR (National Cash Register) to help them completely redesign their self-service checkout in order to make the process more efficient and improved the customer experience at the checkout.
As part of the research for this project I tested the designs for the new checkout with the End-User throughout the project, in order to make sure that they were happy with the new designs. Sainsbury's were very impressed with the final outcome and are looking to incorporate features of the design into their future systems. As part of the redesign I simplified the user interface to make it clearer and allow for user customisation to make the system more personal. Since this project I have been working on other project including an App. for an Advertising campaign at Adam and Eve DDB. I was required to help develop the concept alongside the wireframes and user journeys. These projects have given me huge experience working in a team and with external/internal clients.
I am passionate about creating new and creative user experiences and would love the opportunity to further expand my experience. I feel that the experiences I have gained so far would be a huge benefit to you.
