About me
I'm a senior post-production specialist with over 15 years of experience in high-end broadcast television. My career has been built inside demanding, delivery-driven environments where "good enough" doesn't exist and technical precision is non-negotiable.
For the past eight years, I worked primarily in premium factual and natural history programming, cutting and finishing long-form documentaries for international broadcasters. My background spans offline editing, online/finishing, conform, advanced picture clean-up, graphics integration, QC, and final broadcast delivery. I understand the entire post pipeline end to end, not just creatively, but technically.
I started in post at a time when workflows were more manual and unforgiving. That foundation forced discipline. It trained my eye for detail, version control, file management, and problem-solving under pressure. Over time, I moved into online and finishing, where the margin for error is zero. Every frame must be correct. Every graphic must sit properly within safe areas. Every audio level must pass compliance. Every master must meet spec.
That experience shaped how I work.
I'm methodical. I'm calm under pressure. I don't panic when something breaks five hours before delivery, I fix it. I understand codecs, frame rates, colour pipelines, broadcast legalisation, and platform specifications. I know how to troubleshoot broken conforms, missing media, corrupted files, and last-minute client changes without derailing the schedule.
Creatively, working on natural history documentaries refined my pacing and storytelling instincts. Long-form factual editing requires restraint. It requires rhythm. It requires understanding when to let a moment breathe and when to move. You're not just assembling shots, you're shaping narrative tension across 45-60 minutes while respecting accuracy and tone.
Technically, I'm comfortable owning the entire workflow from picture lock to final master. That includes high-resolution conform, replacement of temporary graphics, detailed clean-up work, integration of final VFX and titles, preparation for grade and mix, final QC, and delivery across multiple territories and formats.
I've worked closely with producers, directors, colorists, sound mixers, and network executives. I understand feedback loops. I understand notes that conflict. I understand how to protect the schedule while protecting the quality.
While my background is rooted in broadcast television rather than high-volume social or YouTube production, the core strengths I bring are transferable: precision, reliability, structured workflow management, and editorial discipline. I care about doing things properly.
Last year, the company I was with went into liquidation, which has given me the opportunity to reassess and expand. I'm now looking to apply my experience across new platforms, production models, and creative challenges — whether that's broadcast, branded content, streaming, or long-form digital.
What I bring to a team:
- Deep understanding of professional post-production pipelines
- Strong technical troubleshooting ability
- High broadcast compliance standards
- Long-form storytelling experience
- Calm, solution-focused mindset under deadline pressure
- Ownership mentality, I don't wait to be told to fix something
What I don't bring is ego. Post-production is a team sport. The best work happens when everyone understands their role and executes it properly.
If you need someone who can step into a complex project, bring order to chaos, maintain standards, and deliver without drama, that's where I operate best.
I build things that last. I finish what I start. And I don't ship work that isn't ready.
