About me

I would be an excellent addition to any company with over 20 years experience in working in IT departments, adapting to variety of roles and responsibilities.

I work well in a team environment, mixing easily with people at all levels, but am also professional and self motivated enough to work as an individual. With excellent communication skills I provide active participation in meetings and training, whilst also being able to liase or mediate between technical and non-technical people.

Having a love of web design and development, backed up by a wealth of practical experience in the last 10 years means that I am familiar with web technology and architecture but am always eager to keep earning and expanding that knowledge.

A previous role as webmaster gave me expose to working with web analytics, reporting and S.E.O. meant that as well as being a designer and developer able to work to given specifications I can also make recommendations for best practice and design considerations to ensure web standards and accessibility.

With an extensive in-depth knowledge of core HTML and CSS, backed up by Javascript (and its derivatives) means that I am also equipped and experienced in cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, most recently exploring mobile application development.

In the last three years at my current post I have been able to demonstrate that I work well under pressure, whilst still maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Most rewarding of all has been the chance to constantly improve and expand my knowledge of web based languages and architecture and I would relish the chance to continue that journey.
