About me

I have nearly twenty years experience in Macintosh support, working for both Apple authorized resellers and in the publishing industry. I've worked with the Macs since System 4 on the MacPlus through the transition to PowerPC, OSX and now the Intel machines.

Although my main experience and preference is with the Apple Macintosh systems, I have worked in a mixed Mac/ PC environment, and have some knowledge of Windows machines.

I've had experience of many of the major packages in use over the years, and the flexibility and understanding to learn new skills as necessary. I have used most of the Microsoft and Adobe applications, and Quark Xpress and Filemaker, as well as diagnostic tools, anti-viral, and back-up software, amongst other utilities.

I enjoy supporting users and solving their problems, and believe that I am sympathetic to their needs, and an effective communicator of solutions.

I am also creative with a good eye for design and typography, and have written and produced a 32 page quarterly house-magazine, brochures and had photographs published. I would appreciate any opportunity to develop thses skills.
