About me
My career in advertising began in Washington, DC where I chose to intern at a small agency rather than a newspaper or a TV channel as was typically expected of students with the Political Journalism exchange program I was attending. Almost equal parts art director and copywriter, I joined Leo Burnett Sofia immediately after graduating from the American University in Bulgaria with a BA in Journalism and Mass Communications. Between two stints as Creative Director at Leo Burnett Sofia, I held a similar position with a Web 1.0 startup before heading to New York for two years of freelancing mainly—luckily!—with Publicis during David Droga's stewardship. My next career stop took me to the Middle East for three hugely successful years as Creative Director with TBWA\ZEENAH in Oman. In Muscat, I contributed to winning the country's first award from an internationally recognized award show and, more significantly, designed the identity for Oman Air, the Sultanate's flag carrier. In 2010, I returned to Bulgaria to start my own agency which in quick succession was first acquired by a major local independent and then became the FCB affiliate for the country. For the past five years, I have been Head of Creative and Co-Managing Director at FCB SOFIA.
