Dear Fitflop Recruitment Team,
I am submitting to you my CV for your post of Digital Copywriter as seen advertised on the Creative Pool website on December 28th 2012.
I am very aware of the solid reputation of the Fitflop brand as well as the company's aims and ethics and that's why your copy writing vacancy has caught my interest.
In my current position with Sh! Women's Erotic Emporium I am a retail supervisor but I also manage all of our social media accounts (Twitter, Facebook, Yelp, Qype etc). This means I am able to interact with our customers outside of the store on a daily basis and deal with questions, suggestions and complaints quickly and effectively. I can involve people in discussions, ask questions and announce events, create competitions and advertise special deals for a much wider audience than by simply using our website alone. My degree in Creative Writing has helped me become able to contribute my own reviews and articles to the company blog on a weekly basis as well as edit material written by my colleagues before they are published (I am more than happy to provide links or copies of these upon interview).
Within the store I help to manage a small team along with the Senior and Junior managers. Customer service is at the heart of the company and we have even won a few awards for it. Because of the nature of the business, I have to handle subject matter carefully, calmly and with great sensitivity both in-person and over the phone. We do face difficult customers and dilemmas which have helped me to develop my ability to think on my feet, be confident and become an effective problem solver in order to control these situations.
I think I would make a great member of your team as I'm always ready and willing to work hard, learn new skills and strive to be the best I can be in any given situation. I know I've got what it takes to engage customers, create new Fitflop devotees and join you on your quest for making the feet of the world feel fantastic.
