About me

I am a recent graduate of the University of Texas with a B.S. in Advertising. I was part of the Texas Creative Program and believe my two years of portfolio and art direction experience have prepared me for the challenges of a position such as this.

Following is a link to my website: web.mac.com/shellular. Within, you will find my resume and portfolio, as well as a few other items of interest. In my portfolio, please take note of two pieces I am particularly proud of: the Penguin Classics campaign and the Fuze campaign. These two pieces of work represent the wide range of my capabilities. With Penguin, I focused on simplicity with clean lines, a subtle use of color, and an emphasis on the original branding. Through Fuze, a campaign produced for national competition, I was able to focus on the visual. It was an opportunity to break away from traditional design and let loose, experimenting with color, cartooning, and funkiness. With this campaign, I also had the chance to move into the realm of 360-degree branding by not only developing print executions, but also producing transit ads, web design, sweepstakes templates, and a clothing line. It was an exercise in integration; one I feel we truly succeeded in.

Beyond the creative abilities demonstrated in my portfolio, I feel that I have acquired many other skills throughout my college career. First, I honed my design and conceptual skills outside of the advertising arena by serving as technical director of the theater troop
