SHELAGH ATKINSON, born 1959, is one of Britain's most exciting printmakers She is celebrated for her works which draw heavily for their inspiration from the worlds of nature and the environment, people and place.
Atkinson has exhibited widely nationally and internationally for over thirty ears and has shown work in countries as diverse as Japan, USA, China, Sweden and numerous countries throughout Europe. Atkinsons projects have generated universal critical acclaim. In 2008 she was elected as a professional member of the Visual Arts Society of Scotland She is currently working on a new body of work exploring the pathways and journeys. In 2020 she was a recipient of an Art360foundation legacy award My new film film has now been released and can be viewed on art360foundation website and youtube.
