Our students go beyond envisioning a better tomorrow; they shape it in the present. We empower them to tackle local, regional, national and global challenges with insight, confidence, sensitivity and creativity.

Through Future Now at Sheffield Hallam University, our students collaborate with peers, communities, researchers, businesses, and enterprises to tackle societal issues. Together, we are shaping a meaningful future that we can be proud of.

Future Now projects give our students the opportunity to work with industry and other external organisations and communities, as well as our own world-leading researchers.

Future Now projects are embedded into our curriculum and whole cohorts often take part. This gives our project partners access to a whole variety of potential solutions and rewards our students via their assessment.

The projects can be as short as a workshop, or as long as a whole semester which gives us a flexible way to engage with our partners across all the disciplines in the College of Social Sciences & Arts.
