Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to submit my CV for your consideration for the copy writer position that you currently have available.

I believe, after reading your requirements, that I have the skills that you are looking for.

After recently completing a degree in Journalism at The University of Huddersfield to a First class classification, I have had three years of writing experience in an academic capacity - where we were taught how to work to different style guides, find the most appropriate angles and the art of self-editing.

I have also worked in real-life writing settings for the duration of my degree, working with a publishing company and a not-for-profit creating regular blogs, news stories, press releases, feature and news articles so that I am confident writing in a series of industries and within a series of defined styles.

Since leaving University, I have taken up a position at a Digital Marketing Agency based on the Isle of Wight, where I work as a home-based Digital Marketing Assistant. As part of this role, I complete blogs for four clients on a weekly basis on topics that they define, or topics that I brief and they sign-off. In this way, I am familiar with the blogging process and the requirements of the position.

I pride myself on perfection, and have never had a client complain about the standard of the blogs that I upload to their websites via various CMS systems. I have never delivered a blog beyond the deadline - and I have learned over the past 4 years to work to tight deadlines and enhance my time-management skills so that I am able to undertake a series of tasks at the same time, all to high specifications.

I am looking for an outlet to regularly write for so that I can build on my experience and continue my passion for writing.
