About me

I'm a highly experienced designer (17 years+) with a wealth of experience in product, print, branding and literature gained from a number of well-respected design agencies working with brands including Mercedes and other long and short-term clients so I have a sound knowledge of design principles and brand guidelines. I have experience of working on products through my work for Kit Grover where my clients included Tate, RSC and MoMA.

I am an independent designer and have recently been working as the HLF project designer for the Museum of Brands, Packaging and Advertising in Notting Hill (a registered charity). This involves the design of literature and course materials for their Key Stage 2 schools programme and seniors project. Previously I designed a Higher Education resource for them comprising 18 web-based worksheets illustrated with packaging examples. The brief focused on functionality of the sheets, different audiences and the requirements of the grant provider (Heritage Lottery Fund).

For all of these briefs I have had to find creative solutions to fit their brief and tight budgets, I have to work both independently at home and as part of a team and have demonstrated that I have the communication skills to build effective working relationships with the education officer and the museum manager.

Whilst working at the Museum I am also juggling other freelance and independent briefs often with conflicting deadlines so I have developed very strong time management skills. It is imperative in my work that I have an excellent eye for detail and accuracy, as I am responsible for taking work from creative brief to print-ready artwork. I work extremely well under pressure and deal with feedback on my designs positively to improve the work I produce.

I'm a graduate of Bath School of Art and Design with a First in Graphic Design and have advanced software skills in the CS Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop), Quark, Powerpoint, Word, and Acrobat Professional.
