To the Hiring Manager,
My name is Shannon Henderson and I am a recent graduate of John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Illustration, and a minor in Graphic Design. I am applying to you for the Creative Artworker position.
Drawing and painting are my two biggest passions, though I've learned a variety of other skills during my time at school. I was employed by the Music and Theatre department to design and produce many posters, programs, postcards, and other advertising materials for a variety of different events. Most of those projects I had to see through to the printed production itself.
I am extremely detail oriented, a tendency to which any of my friends and professors can (and have) pointed out on a daily basis. I've pulled many all nighters over the years rather than sacrifice the details in my work, and I've made plenty of mistakes that I learned from along the way. Making new mistakes is a sign of moving forward.
I have been to the United Kingdom before on a semester long study abroad trip and I fell in love with the place. I studied in Belfast, and took two long weekend trips: one to London and another to Edinburgh. Even before these trips I knew the UK was a place I'd like to end up some day. The culture, landscape, and over all attitude fits my personality wonderfully.
