About me
My name is Shamil Chauhan. I am a BA Architecture graduate from Birmingham School of Architecture. I am looking for a Graphic Design role at an innovative design inspired, community lead company that relies on its team to innovate and produce the future of commercial design and branding.
Creativity was very limited within the architectural field. After working in the industry, I felt as though my time and efforts could be concentrated on something that I could put passion into and enjoy doing.
I strongly believe that not only a design department but the whole business achieves success by having a strong team mentality and healthy communication between its members and leaders which is consistently evident through the clientele they possess as well as the solid and creative portfolio of work. Branding, content design & marketing mix both my creative side as well as business development side; something that wasn't available for me in the architecture industry.
My CV demonstrates experience in a variety of sectors and my wide range skill set. I am an accomplished user in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), Keynote and team organising & communication platforms like Trello and Slack. I am also proficient with 3D Modelling, Sketchup and AutoCAD having used these core programs throughout College, University and in industry. Working in different environments has meant I have had to adapt quickly to new systems and programs, which I have done with ease. My enthusiasm and ability to communicate my ideas verbally and graphically allows me to express my creativity easily.
I believe I can provide & deliver to your expectations as a successful company and become a crucial team member as I have acquired the skills necessary to do what I enjoy best. My previous employment, the University and personal experiences have provided me with the highs and the lows, all which have made me a strong minded individual who strives to successes and surpass targets. On the whole, I am a passionate and dynamic person and given the opportunity to join the team, I will be hard working, punctual, committed to what I do and always willing to learn and improve to better myself.
