About me
Shady Michael is an architect working at Dar Group, an international multi-disciplinary consultancy with 43 offices throughout 30 countries. He worked on architectural, interior and environmental design projects in Azerbaijan, Beirut, Cairo and Saudi Arabia. Prior to that he ran Alberto Architects, his own architectural firm from .
Shady's academic background starts at studying architecture at the Faculty of Fine Arts - Architecture Department, in Cairo Egypt. He did a further degree focused on environmental design and engineering at the Bartlett UCL focusing on integrating social, spatial and environmental aspects. Furthermore, he is interested in parametric modeling, generative design and emergent technologies.
Shady participated in competitions in which he gained extensive experience. He has received many International commendations and honorary mentions for his submissions to several International Competitions; some of the awarding organizations are the UIA, UNESCO, ThyssenKrupp (Spain), the Korean Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
