About me

Dear Sir/Madam,

I feel my experience of teaching art and textiles, along with my degree, experience of print design and experience of working within fashion buying and merchandising teams have equipped me with the knowledge and skills needed to successfully fill this post.

I have successfully achieved a 2:1 whilst studying Fashion Design Technology- Surface Textiles at the prestigious London College of Fashion.

Throughout various roles I have proved myself to be an enthusiastic, efficient and creative individual. I have strong organisational skills and am able to prioritise tasks and work proactively to meet pressurised deadlines and ensure I produce work of the highest standard. I have experience of maintaining the critical path, dealing with suppliers and my experience of working within fashion head offices and retail has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to analyse and interpret sales trends and customer needs in order to ensure excellent and relevant services are delivered. I am a team player and am able to work well alongside a variety of people as I have experience of working with peers, heads of departments, buyers, customers and learners.

I have excellent CAD and Photoshop skills and am able to produce unique and varied designs, both placement and all over repeat and enjoy experimenting with colour, texture and scale in order to produce unique designs that are inspired by a wide range of staring points.

I have had the opportunity to plan and create on trend designs that have been successfully reviewed and sold to a number of high street retailers. I have also been responsible for researching colour and print trends from the catwalk and responding to these throughout my own designs. I have an adaptable approach to design work and am able to work in a flexible manner to meet the needs of various stakeholders. I feel this has been shown in my ability to create designs that are relevant to differing markets and in my ability to respond quickly to market demands.
