ABOUT
More than 3 million older people in Spain live with unwanted loneliness. A reality intensified by the digital divide and the disappearance of the simplest and most human form of communication: a phone call.
To make society feel the importance of reaching out, Fundación "la Caixa" and Manifiesto brought back a symbol that had disappeared from Spanish streets: the phone booth.
Reimagined for today, it allowed passersby to instantly connect with older people experiencing loneliness at home, transforming a forgotten piece of street furniture into a bridge between generations.
