About me

Taking an art GNVQ in deepest darkest Grimsby helped me figure out what really interested and inspired me. After finishing a BA Hons in Visual Communication in Birmingham I packed my knapsack with a sketch book and a clean pair of pants and headed for the bright lights of London. After a brief stint designing for a newspaper I started as a junior designer at Marketing Drive in 2000. There, I discovered my real passion was generating ideas, which I would then progress through to completion. In my first 5 years I worked in most aspects of integrated marketing, and my three years of freelancing has made me sharper, added to my skillset, and broadened my experience. Best of all, I still have the creative urge, and the buzz when something magic happens. I freelance as a solo art director and as part of a team, with Piers Eccleston a copy writing guru* I met at Marketing drive.
