About me
Dear Sir / Madam,
In January of 2003 I relocated to London from Los Angeles California to broaden my artistic opportunities and explore new media for my work.
I studied Classic Animation at the internationally renowned California Institute of the Arts in Los Angeles, and in 1991 I gained a Certificate from the School of Film and Video. My main focus was Character Design. I studied under the eminent Designer Robert Winquist as well as Character Designer, Michael Giamo, known for his remarkable work for many Walt Disney animated features.
After progressing from CalArts, I started my Animation career as a Clean-up Artist for the Television series 'Family Dog', a Steven Spielberg / Tim Burton production. I was soon promoted to Character and Model Designer for international television hits such as; Film Roman's 'The Simpsons', Hanna Barbera's 'Dexter's Laboratory', Nickelodeon's 'The Fairly Odd Parents', Disney's 'Nightmare Ned' and most recently for Frederator Film's 'My Life As A Teenage Robot.
My Animation career has spanned a decade and has included creative work for all the major American Animation Studios, closely collaborating with Creators, Directors and Production Crews, as well as supervising other artists such as Assistant Character Designers and Clean-Up Artists. Together we worked as a team to create and produce some of the most memorable and successful animated series' of recent times.
Yours truly,
Sean Edberg
