About me
I finished a creative degree in media and video production in may 2010 and have been working within the games industry as a video editor for the past twelve months. This is a very creative role, which has needed me to think on my feet to find quick and professional solutions to achieve the highest quality of product for release. Since being with this company I have played a key role in the release of one major family orientated title and am in the process of finishing a triple-A title, which is set for release in July 2012.
Through my degree I have worked on, produced and directed many features, from short stop-motion animations to a forty minute sit-com, it has been a strength and an interest of mine, to be part of the complete process, from pre-production elements such as concept generation, casting and location scouting to the practical process within the production itself.
I am an individual that constantly wants to be involved, who looks to find new and better ways of achieving a more professional end result. I have had experience on advertising and marketing projects also. I have used editing software including pinnacle liquid edition, final cut pro and photo shop.
I was a producers who help set up and run a student led Production Company called, Dank Cell productions. The main idea behind this was to create original film and TV projects, from concept generation to post production. The main project we worked on was titled 'Coping', a sit-com episode. I was the main producer on this project, my main responsibilities included, budgeting, casting auditions, prop and location approval. Throughout the production I took on more roles, including assistant director and post editor.
I have used filming equipment throughout my course, dank cell and projects I undertook in my own time. One such project was for a fashion shoot for an end of year catwalk show, I filmed some pre-show build up, the entire show and some reactions from the guests, after this I edited the footage and pieced together a professional video for the head of department.
I am hard working, ready to learn and develop to learn new skills and also develop the skills I have gained throughout my career.
I have had experience of filming many different genres, which has given me a great understanding on the restraints artists face when trying to create a video piece, I feel because of this I can create professional products without taking away from the creative beauty that can be missed.
I also worked on a musical showcase at the stables near Milton Keynes, my main responsibility on the night was to the back stage area, to oversee the professional running of the show and making sure all the artists were calm and arrived on stage at the point for their performance. I also worked closely with the sound and lighting technicians to prepare the stage, help with sound check and lighting set up.
Kind Regards
