About me
Working as a freelancer has given me vast amounts of experience, and now I am ready for the next step. I'm interested in working on larger, more complex projects that your studio would offer. I'm also extremely excited about working as a part of a team and developing my skills as a designer. I collaborate with other designers regularly, as I feel it's key to pushing yourself and moving forward.
I've worked on a huge range of projects of different sizes, digital and print, in an array of different industries and cultural contexts, with clients in the UK, USA and Australia. I continually collaborate with the Science Council, producing physical banners, leaflets and digital advertisements. I'm currently designing a large planning and organising wedding website that requires a great knowledge of back-end development and have worked extremely closely with the developer to produce an integrated platform that is minimal and user friendly. Working independently has meant that I do all my own project management, understanding all my client's needs, from developing pitches right through to final completion, as well as sustaining partnerships. I'm also extremely confident with Adobe CC InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, making sure I keep up to date with all the latest versions.
Studying graphic design has given me a great passion for typography, making sure every detail looks perfect, down to the last widow. Photography is also important to me, developing imagery in both digital and analog formats. I keep up to date with latest design trends via daily visits to creative blogs like It's Nice That, as well as sharing with other designers within the industry.
In my spare time I love to draw, creating detailed line illustrations by hand which I sell online and at art fairs. I also play football, and being part of a team is extremely important to me.
I hope to hear from you soon.
Many Thanks,
Scott Edwards
