About me

My name is Sarah Payne and I am writing to introduce myself to you as a designer.

I am currently one of the concept artists for the BBC production of Doctor Who, a position I have held for the past two years. At the beginning of the third series I was introduced to the art department on an initial trainee contract and became a full time member of the team for series four when I was asked by the production designer Edward Thomas to stay.

I was not only given the chance to design for Doctor Who, but also its spin off productions, Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures.

My time with this production has been fantastic. I have had the opportunity to work on a vast range of subjects, with many experienced and talented colleagues, which has allowed me to develop further as a designer. Despite this I believe it is now time for me to move on in order that I may progress with my career. I feel it is time for me to find new and exciting challenges and opportunities.
