About me

Dear Sir or Madam,

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Sarah McArthur and I have spent the last six years working in the Winter Sports industry as a Snowboard instructor and a Resort Manager for UK Tour Operators. This has provided me with a fantastic start, I have travelled to some amazing places, experienced people who have shaped and defined the person that I am today.

I now look for a permanent role in the Advertising industry as a Copywriter. I have always had a passion for advertising since I was a teenager - during my GCSE's I submitted coursework centred around an interactive advert for cat food, which was designed to purr and sound hungry as the client walked past the isle. I have always kept up to date with the latest adverts and I find it really interesting to watch how techniques change.

Although I do not have direct copywriting experience, when I was working as a Resort Manager I wrote all information contained in the Resort Welcome pack and generated posters around the resort to publicise events. I am used to working to sales targets in this area and always exceeded my per guest targets every season. Any experience which I lack I will be more than willing to learn and contribute to your business - so any investment you make in me in terms of training will be brought back to you with a successful and lively team member.
