About me
My name is Sarah and I work as a freelance illustrator and designer in the South of England creating nice doodles and other such things.
After graduating in 2006, I worked in various publishing houses, illustrating and design beautiful children's books - from Pesky Penguins to Thomas the Tank Engine. Now I work freelance, drawing lovely pictures for lovely people.
Other than doodling, my other passions are vegetable gardening, tea drinking and snowboarding. Preferably not all at the same time.
Skills
Creative Skills, I have worked as a designer and illustrator since graduating in 2006. Over the years, I have had the oppotunity to work on a vast range of book, online games and packaging. Working as a designer has allowed me to design covers and layouts for children's books, reference books, recipe books, magazines, picture books and Flash games. I have experience working with style guides and licensed charaters., I have excellent drawing skills, and can illustrate in a wide variety of styles. I specialise in the children's market, having over 5 years experience working in-house at various publishing houses and digital media companies. I produce artwork both digitally and traditionally and have illustrated several published titles., Technical Skills, I am able to work to an advanced level in the following software:, Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS, Indesign CS, Quark, Dreamweaver and Flash.
