About me

I have spent many years gaining knowledge of graphic design and seeing how a simple idea can become a work of art. From school I began to take a keen interest in graphic design and knew it was what I wanted to pursue as my chosen career. Throughout my academic life I feel I have become more confident in my own ability to produce a high standard of work using different design packages such as Illustrator, Quark, Photoshop and Microsoft Office. This has helped me to become more aware for the fine detail in any design.

The projects I have produced range from Corporate Identity to Typography. My Corporate Identity project was a live brief set by an outside company to produce a logo, letterhead and business card promoting educational services for teachers. I then met with a representative from the company and discussed the rreasoning behind my design and how I thought it related to the services the company provided. Working and going to University has enabled me to develop working relationships with a variety of people ranging from colleagues up to tutors, customers and Area Managers. Through the interest of people who came to my exhibition at Staffordshire University, I have been asked to enter the Manchester Noise Festival and the Islington Art and Design Exhibition. I also have work on sale on the Internet and display my work at local exhibitions. As I thoroughly enjoy designing in and out of working hours, I am very flexible with when and where I can work.
